Default timing belt tensioner mi 16

    Help.
Do you turn the rear tensioner clockwise or anti clockwise to tension the belt on series 1, 1.9 mi16 .

Anti-clockwise; both of them although with the right hand side one, which is the first one adjusted, it is usually set to its maximum, so in its case the direction may not be quite so critical.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!
