Default Quick Question: Heater Hoses 205

I am removing the heater matrix and I am wondering if I have to loop the engine hoses together or can I just block them off at the outlets. Not sure if it will effect circulation

I'd always be inclined to loop them. In modern cars the matrix is always circulating, unlike the old EH which had a tap, so you'd want to copy that, no matrix but bit of hose emulating same.

Yep I agree, on closer inspection the water temp sensor is in the heating loop. So there is my answer.

remove the 2 alloy tubes going to the matrix from the drivers side. Phillips screwdriver does the trick and then remove the matrix, no other bolts hold the matrix in. It was easy for me as I removed everything from under the dash.

How much did the matrix cost you?

ty, seems fairly easy. i payed GBP 11.50 on the day = $28.00, which includes surface mail (slow, but its not urgent and still waiting). it was 2nd hand tho but i had purchased other things prior to this and they were/arrived in quite good condition. if your looking to purchase from UK as i do for some things, Royal mail has a website with an overseas price calculator.
    Puggy.
