    Default BA7/5 gearbox

I've got hold of a BA7/5 and I was told it'll go into my pickup. I've got a funny feeling it came out of a station wagon but I never confirmed this. Is it indeed suitable looking given the rear coupling? If it is suitable, what are the recommendation for giving it an overhaul before it goes in? The things I can think of are checking any bearing for play and signs of wear, checking the synchros and possibly replacing seals. If it's not suitable, no big deal, I can find a home for it elsewhere.

Uffee, sorry dude, I got a 5 speed in my shed waiting to go into my sedan, I think ba7/5 are the go rather than the ba10/5, which has fitment and other problems. Into a ute? I don't know fella, should be no problem if it came out of a wagon but all I can suggest is you do a search, you know how on this forum? click in search write 5 speed press go and sit back, should be plenty of reading.
