    Default 40K Service

    Hey
    I Own a 2004 peugot 206 and was wondering what needs to be done for the 40,000 service?

    any help appreciated!

    Hi Tim, I'm sure its in your service manual. Also I would ring up a few service center and ask for a writtemn quote on exactly what you get for your money... - Chris

    If you contact your dealer and ask for a quote prior to booking your car in they should be able to give you a firm price.

    The 40k service is the main service for the 206. All filters, spark plugs, fluids are changed. If you want to save money don't get the pollen filter changed yet. Cam belt is done at 80k service. 20k services are basically oil and oil filter.

    surely i can do this service by myself correct?
    i mean....peugot want a fair amount of money to do some 'checks' and other things.....
    but the parts that need changing are pretty basic.....

    Yes you can do it yourself. I gather you have the equipment and mechanical knowledge.

    dont forget about your warante on the car if you do it your self.

    I don't see this as an issue, if genuine Peugeot parts are used.
