Default 195/60 R14 to wide for 5.5 inch rim?

    G'day tyre guru's,

My new (old) wheels are currently getting polished up and I am about to throw some rubber at them...

The wheels are 5.5 X 14 and on the UK fuego were fitted with 185/65 R14's...

I have had a look around and I was thinking of giving the Dunlop SP300E a go (I've heard mostly good things about them) in the standard size or perhaps going to a 195/60 R14 in a Michelin XM1...

I know a 195/60 R14 will technically fit but do you think it would be to wide and allow too much sidewall sag?

Out of interest, is anyone here running Michelin XM1's or Dunlop Sp300E's and if so how have you found them?

Also, is anyone running the Yoko CDrive in a similar size, and if so, are you a happy camper?

I used to run 195/70 on 14 * 5.5 CX rims. They worked quite well and I never had an issue with them. However being a higher profile there is possibly more space for the sidewalls to spread out
