Default Aussie 205 gti engine queries

Could anyone be able to tell me what the differences between an aussie 1.9L 1987 205 gti (77kW) engine, and an european engine of the same year (95kW) is?

    Heaps.

    Pistons - 75kW has a shallow dish, 90kW & 130hp have a deeper dish

    Head - 75kW large 49cc chamber, 90kW & 130hp have a 34cc chamber

    Valve Sizes - 75kW has 39.5/33mm, 90kW & 130hp have 41.6/34.5mm

Camshaft - 75kW is small lift, small duration. Others have more lift and more duration.

    CR
    75kW - 8.4:1
    90kW - 9.2:1
    130hp - 9.5:1

Hope that helps. So if you can follow all that, there's 3 different types of pistons, two types of cylinder heads and 3 different camshafts.

Peter, I have just obtained a motor out of a Citroen BX TZi.
This is the 90kw engine, so the cam is different to the 130hp?
The engine has some water in it so it gives me an excuse to work it over!
I guess cam and compression would be the way to go along with Megasquirt. Would planing the head give it suitable compression to go with a modified cam or would I need to weld the combustion chambers or buy special pistons?

There are subtle differences between the 90kW and 130hp cams. Just skim the head as required.

Thanks Peter, that really sorts out my question.
