    Default SII 505GTI Discs.

    Lumpy disc and Opinions sought.

Easy way--- get front discs machined.

    Hard way--- Replace front discs.

    What are my options.

    Plain, vented.
Conversion to "VolVo" 2 spotters, (interested).

    All suggestions welcomed.

1 are the discs thick enough to be machined.

2 Discs can be obtained reasonably cheaply

    3 Plain Vented slotted dimpled

4 What purpose is the vehicle used for

    5 Vented and 604 caliper ?

    Thanks for the replies.

The car is used for long distance commuting and the occasional weekend road exercise.

I feel that the brakes could be a bit sharper.
I will change the flexible lines to get the slight, (no air-checked), sponge out of them. The front end will not lock up under any amount of pedal pressure, (very ABS like without the pulse). This may be normal for 505s but feels a little weird, thus 2 spots.

The discs will take another machining, but after 370,000km I think new discs/studs/bearings etc is not unreasonable and whilt I am at it, caliper kit.

Pugrambo, what is involved in the Volvo set up???
