    Default 206 GTi Speed Sensor

    Hi!
Anybody know where the speed sensor is? My speedo won't read anything, thought it may be the actual dash itself so swapped one over but, still the same!
Mate says it'll be the speed sensor, but I don't know it's whereabouts and possibly the part nos.

Muxed 206's speed is sensed off the ABS sensors, there must be at least 2 reading to give a result... speedo not reading could be that, the dash or a BSI problem, suggest getting the dealer the flash your ECU again.

Check under the bonnet son (sorry, couldn't resist that ). From memory, if the ABS goes south (blown fuse, etc.) it takes out the speedo. You may have a blown fuse or loose connector or relay in the fuse box near the battery.

If you can't find your owner's manual (which will tell you where the fuses/relays are), Peugeot Logic have a fuse finding guide here. You'll need something like a DAM number, which is on the sticker on the l/h strut tower, under the bonnet, to identify which model 206 you have on their chart.
    Regards,

    Simon

    Cheers all!
Found the offending sensor, it's one that sits near the gear change linkage. Straight swap and everything is back to normal.
