    Default vaccuum advance ?

the vaccuum advance does not work on my distributer,
this has not worried me much but with the rising price of fuel and the constant freeway travel i do i think its a good time to fix it so my question is.
-has anyone had this job done on their 205 gti?
what sort of $ are we talking or secondly does someone have a fully working gti distributer for sale.?
    thank you-BAZZ

It's just the capsule that's gone?
If so you should be able to buy one over the counter. Have you got a decent Repco store near you? If so, start there.
Fiddly job but not hard to do.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

Bad news Baz. They're no longer available and working ones rare as rocking horse sh*t.

I'd be interested to hear if there are any alternatives.

A good excuse for mapped fuel and ignition.

    Guys,

Just out of curiosity, do they run a Ducellier distributor?
If so, I might just take it on for a challenge trying to source some. I've done crazier things before and managed to get a result.
