    Default 505 triple crankshaft pulley

    Struggling nicely trying to find this.

    I need a triple crankshaft pulley for my 1987 505 gti (ZDJL engine), as used when air-con is fitted. It seems aircon was a rare thing over here in those days, so it might make finding one simpler if I could broaden my search a bit.

    Are these pulleys common with any other engine, was this engine fitted to any other cars etc.?

    Help desperately needed, and much appreciated.

    I wouldn't have thought that air conditioning was all that rare... seems to be on all the cars I see...

    Unlikely it's a common pulley, but there was also a triple pulley on the late XNs, and the diesels with air conditioning.

    Very good point... should have realised that...

    Maybe we should go into exporting them to the poms? Good little earner?

    We're all too tight with our cash to splash out on aircon,(too near Scotland) and it's cold enough here already thank you.

    You open your windows and the warmth enters, here it leaves.

    Anyway, this isn't getting me any closer to finding a triple pulley.

    Surely an engine as good as the 2.2 GTI wasn't confined purely to Peugeot?

    If it was, that was certainly a money making venture missed.

    (That doesn't sound like Monsieur Peugeot).

    what are the pulleys dimensions ?

    the PRV pulley may fit as they are both douvrin engines
    3 x '78 604 SL

    1 x '98 306 GTi6

    1 x secret project

    1 x '98 406 STDT troop carrier and i don't care if it stinks, i don't sniff it's arse Death by wank tank

    1 x '99 406SV 5spd wagon, time to burn more fuel

    1 x 1994 605 SV3.0

    Every STI/GTI (ZD ) engine sold in Australia will have a triple pulley & I have lost count of the number of engines I have seen thrown away when the T belt breaks.
    You are on the right track looking for one here.
    Put an ad in the 'wanted' section or ring write or email someone like PUGWRECK - it should cost stuffall & get to UK pretty quick
    So many projects - so little time.

    If you get really stuck, try French Connection in Melbourne. I was perusing their parts listings for Peugeots on Thursday and they have them brand new ready for shipping. I've been to several Pug spares suppliers and wreckers who have had GTi/STi motors so it shouldn't be too hard to find. The new ones from French Connection are a bit pricy, to the tune of about $290 from memory.

    check if a 505 diesel one is the same. They break crankshafts with those, you know!
