I am looking at the same for my 87 205GTi if any one has done it, I read an old post about doing it but they had not done it in the end...

I suspect you would have to rechip the engine management, dyno extensively to get everything right, and then there's the job of finding somewhere to hang the supercharger and deciding how to drive it.

I think it would be a big job in a modern FWD car...

I think it would be easy on a modern FWD car, remove air-con compressor, mount charger .....

If you ran really lower boost, maybe 6psi the engine management would probably even cope with it Especially if it has an integrated knock sensor already.

I know of someone that did this with an old DS21 ie (Djectronic injection). He uses a cut down suspension cylinder with a spring behind it to blow off excess pressure generated above 6psi.

What i can say for sure is that space is not lacking in the ZX 1.9i. I am sure i could find a place where it would fit. If it were the coupe then i wouldn't be so sure.

Basically, i'm just looking for a mild boost to up the torque at least. I'm not really looking into power increases although that would be a big bonus.

Shane, supercharger in a DS21? i'd like more details!!! But i'd have to look into finding the parts for the injection for my DS21 again... previous owner had it converted but never passed the parts on to me.

So, anyone else with info on supercharging? Btw would it drink fuel like in a turbo mod? Also would the pistons need to be changed? Like i said, i'm not looking for a major boost to do racing or anything. It's just a thought that i'd like to play with.
