What you may want to do is contact the distributor of Elf and buy direct from them. This is what myself and a couple of other guys here do. It works out pretty cheap.

    You can get
6x4L bottles for roughly $11.30/L delivered
    or
3x5L bottles for roughly $11.45/L delivered

Edit: This is for Elf Excellium 5W40

This includes courier costs to Adelaide so I guess Sydney would be cheaper?

Send me a PM and I can sent you the contact details.

Yep as gti138 said, quite cheap to get it couriered down. The distributor is Onshore Oils, speak to Susan, she goes out of her way to find the best priced couriers. Though I'm pretty sure some blokes in Sydney have already ordered some before through Onshore.

Asanka, if you think that's cheap, you can even get it for $5/Litre..if you're willing to buy a 200 L drum of it!

That's not as silly as you might think.
When I originally did the LHM deal, there were a couple of people formed buying groups and did that.
Think about it; if there were 10 of you and providing you had some clean 5 litre containers to put it in, that's 20 litres each or 4 oil changes and it's cost you $20 per 5 litres ($100 for the 20 litres) and Mobil one is now about $70 for a 5 litre container (if you're lucky) and I sure know what I prefer in my engine.

Completely agree with you Alan. Unfortunately I don't think the missus would let me store it in our 2 bdrm unit along as I have enough car bits already wedged in! Someone in Adelaide with a garage or backyard willing to do the honours would be most appreciated! I'd pay for my 20 litres up front.

Believe it or not, that Elf oil has the most pleasant smell of any oil I've ever come across. I reckon you could store it indoors without any complaints about smells. It's almost like Olive Oil.
I once worked at a Bikies place at Kirra down the Gold Coast. It was a rented house and the first thing that struck me when I went through the front door was a Harley stripped in the middle of the Lounge with a T/V sitting on an old coffee table alongside. I made a comment about the bike ("Nice bike") and was then escorted into the bedroom to see the engine and gearbox that were stripped on a bench he'd set up in the main bedroom. That smelt noyce....real noyce i can tell you. Mind you, I don't think his lady friend had ever appeared on the front page of "Vogue" so I doubt there'd be too many other women who would have copped that. True story believe it or not.

I know of a place in melbs that has the excellium (synth) for around $10:50 a litre, on pascoe vale rd somewhere. I think the addy is on ozrenaultsport.com. I'm going to grab some for the service as I fear the local renault mechanics are using castrol oils for my car
not sure how much it would be to get it to sydney though.

I keep my drum of Shell synthetic in my room, along with my mountain bike and various car pieces and all my car detaling stuff, drives the girlfriend nuts...

I would go for a drum of Elf but it is too thin for the 205

    Mate,

Can I suggest you post this also in Froggy Chat at the top of the forum as I think there'll be a couple of others from over your way interested who don't frequent this particular forum.

    Good news!

Spoke to the Service guys at a dealer the other day & they're stocking the Elf oil (Excellium GP & another semi-synth)!
As they are supposed to use it on the RS Cars now....

Whether or not they use that 44gal out back is another question though!

    So chat to you local!

I don't suppose you asked them how much they charge for it?
