    Default Dual mass flywheels?

I'm not sure if the guy I was talking to today was taking the p!ss or not. He said there was a "dual mass" flywheel, fitted by various manufacturers to various models and that they fail prematurely, (he didn't say what the expected life of them was) Peugeot being one of the manufacturers. Is there such a thing, what are they, and more importantly to me have I got one (2001 607 2.2)?

BMW and Honda have used these in cars. They have been used in trucks for 20 odd years.
