Default A bit more on "warped discs"

    Someone just posted this overseas.
May answer a few questions we get on here at times.

Oh fabulous stuff from the late Mr Smith...

Can we have this posted as a sticky on all the forums?

Head it 'Warped brake discs - a Fallacy!'...

read that on another page quite a while ago but lost the link. This is a good find.
Read something similar on quite few forums from people who had problems with the original version of the EBC greenstuff pads. They had a bad reputation for quite a period of time before changing their resin formula.

Do you reckon it's a good idea if I bung it up in the "Common Fixes" section?

I see you've done that, Alan... and it's a start...

It's just a matter of referring people to that once they come on talking about warped discs.

The only other thing is that Carroll Smith is dead. Who's to say that site will keep that article up there forever?

I think we should copy and paste it so it's permanently embedded in this site...

I actually posted this a long long time ago - but new information for many by the sounds of it. Whilst reading that article I also urge you to read some of the others under "technical" on the homepage. Especially this one which is concerned with big brake upgrades on ABS systems. Unless you have access to a device to re-programme the P-T and P-V look-up-tables then you must read this.
