    Default Suspension for Mi

    Howdy,

Seriously considering a suspenion upgrade for my mi, and now the shocks are dead it is a good time. Just after sime advice on spring rates and what shocks to go for. Price ideas would also be great too.
    Regards
    Owen

    G'day Owen,

I run Koni yellows {thanks to Ray for the great deal}, (3 way adjustable- fronts externally so) all around & Eibach front springs.

Ride is certainly 'choppier', but makes for a good club sprint set-up.

As PeterT says, the origs are hard to beat.

The Koni yellows (Sport) are certainly not cheap... retail price is $1,342 for the full set.

But they do have external adjustment (as mentioned) on the front, and the rears adjust as well, but not externally. They are gas-pressurised dampers.

If you're looking for control without getting too much of a 'sporty' ride, you could fit regular Konis (the ones listed for the regular 405) and work the adjusters to firm them up a bit if necessary. But they won't give the ultimate sport settings the Sport units will. These retail at $1166 for the full set.

Of course, I can do a much better price for you, as I have been doing for Aussiefrog members for over a year now... the price for the Sport units through me is $940 for the full set, delivered to your door; for the regular units (not really recommended...) $820 for the full set delivered to your door.

    I agree,

I just put new factory font shocks in and they are great. I'm going to put Lip gas shocks in the back soon though.

On the advice of Gerald Cullen (who runs one at targa), I put the Pug ones on the front with Eibach springs and Koni yellows in the rear. I'm very happy indeed.
