    Default N9te

I'm thinking of doing an engine swap:
N9TE motor into my 505 GTi
I'm wondering if anyone has any comments/suggestions before I start,
ie; has anyone done this before?...

    Cheers

this is the 180hp turbo engine is it not, as far as i know it has been done before... however from what i've read you have to use BA10 gearbox and also overcome the problem that even if you can find a suitable bellhousing as it was never made for right hand drive pugs check out this page for some intresting info http://www.vectorbd.com/peugeot/turbo.html some of the links are broken but most are still there

Although these engines were only made in LHD the bell housings fits perfectly well in a RHD Car. You don't have the same problem as with the V6 bell housings as the starter is on the other side. The only two item that dont fit as per factory is the exhaust dump pipe and the intercooler. Both are easily overcome. There is one person that has done this conversion. If you want his contact details let me know. I don't think it would be appropiate to post them here. If you have any other questions let me know.

Starting to sound like a good idea. Should be a fun project
