Default Gti6: DB or WVA part # for front brake pads?

    Hi Bill,

I was looking at the Pagid road performance pads for a '98 model Peugeot 306 Gti-6. Could you please quote me the prices for a front set and rear set?

    Thanks,
    Jude

Unfortunately, we can not tell what pads you have in the car from the information given, if you are able to supply a DB part number (Aus) or a WVA part number (if you have Euro pads in the car - they will have a Wva), then I will be able to determine which of the pad sets you have.
Alternate to this, remove a pad and trace it - then fax or email the drawing.

I tried ringing up the pug dealership here for the part number and was given the following message "It is our policy not to give out any part numbers".
    Me: Why?
Them: Because it is our policy.
Me: I heard you the first time..WHY is it your policy?
Them: It has always been our company policy.
Me: Right, thanks for answering the question.

Obviously giving out part numbers would undercut their ability to rip customers off and necessitate them..oh no the shock of it all..to be COMPETITIVE. Anyway enough sarcasm.

Before I go removing pads, I was wondering whether any fellow AFers know that information?

You rang Taylors right? The spare parts dept refused to give that to me. I'll try again tomorrow, hopefully get a different person. Yeah that's a good idea I'll try the other mechs. Thanks for that Joel.

Thanks mate! I've just transferred the funds into your account. I put 'jastanis' under the Description, but let me know if there are any problems. The reason I say this is, I transferred funds to pgti6 yesterday for the Quaife diff, and he emailed me saying that it came through but the unique i.d number I put in the 'Description' to identify it was from me, didn't show correctly, and showed up as some initials
