Default Swapping Hydractive struts into another vehicle?

Has anybody ever done this? I know the same type of strut is used on some armoured personnel carriers, so the other day I got to thinking that it would be cool to have them in a small but capable 4WD like a Suzuki Sierra or Vitara.

Anybody heard of the struts being taken out of a C5 into something else?

One of the first things you learn in my industry is NEVER tell a hotrodder "it" can't be done. They will do "it" just to spite you. Mindful of that, I don't see why installing a C5 suspension into a Suzuki Vitara can't be done. But I'm also mindful of the massive challenge you'll face getting the electronics to work correctly.

Electronics is the easy part (I'll just make my own controller and program it). It's the mechanical part that has me wondering.
