    Default Top mounts 205 gti

I have some kw variant 1 coilovers which I want to use with bm baker adjustible top mounts. Has any one done this, there does not seem to be any way of locating the top of the spring with adjustible top mounts. Kw coilovers seem to rely on the existing top mounts. Anyone been down this path.

Post up pics of the full length of the coilover so we can see what components you have. Sounds like you're missing the top spring perch.

I think you're right about the top perches being for standard strut tops. Here is a pic of top spring perches I've made to join Bilstein struts to BBM adjustable tops. There are 3 parts: the alloy spring perch, the steel bearing locator and the special nut.

It's a relatively simple job for a fitter & turner to make some adaptors and new top nuts like Bluey's.

I think the OP is after something like this to just fit them to the chassis if Im mistaken? It looks like the purple part is the spring perch..

What is the idea with those two vastly different springs?

The small spring is there to hold the large spring in position so you can adjust the heights, the experts on the forum can correct me if I am wrong
