Default Light weight stress relieved conrod...

This rod slightly damaged, owner might consider selling. Literally came out of XU10J4RS engine over the weekend.

Nice. If you go to the Brock museum at Bathurst you sill see many, many destroyed engine parts on display from years of pushing things too far, tis well worth a visit.

Considering they're not weak rods, how did you manage that?

Phfft. That's nothing. Here's what's left of mine from the Wakefield 300 recently. The remains of the cap is circled. The rest left the engine.

I've already welded it up. It's not pretty but it will live to fight another day.

crikey! No matter how many of these I see they all look ugly, painful, expensive, weekend ruining! ouch.
What happened, did the cap or bolt fail?

I did. It happened just as he was passing us on the pit wall. Just a puff of smoke and the unmistakable noise of an engine disintegrating.

Yes, they were resized, about 18 months ago. They've had plenty of abuse since then. What did you find?
