    Default Ignition Box / Nodiz Pro?

    Browsing youtube (as is custom for a gen Y on a Saturday afternoon) and I run into someone using this thing;

    https://motorsport-electronics.co.uk...ems/nodiz-pro/

    Looks like it has all the benefits of the "Microjolt" without having to use the EDIS coil drivers. I not it also can be triggered from a 60-2 wheel for... was someone with a Peugeot asking about that somewhere before?

    Oh this thing is cool. It has baby launch control (set it to hold at a rpm, then its turned of with a clutch switch, ie mashing it) And you can use it for no lift flat shifts too

    Oh. in the manual now, it has a couple of soft buttons so you can change things like static timing, and even sensors without needing to bring a PC with you. Handy.

    OK enough salespitch from me, has anyone used one?

    Not overly cheap at around $A450 + shipping + coils + trigger hardware.

    Edit : Cost would end up line ball with megasquirt kit I'd suggest.

    Well it's not that bad,

    Assuming one will have to buy coilpacks / trigger wheels, hal sensor and map sensors with each of them anyway, some numbers below for the units and suitable wiring + PC connectors if that are not included by default. (note these are pre built Mega/Micro kit prices)

    Nodiz Pro $402 (no coils)
    Microsquirt $459 (no coils)
    Megajolt $468 (inc EDIS coils)
    MegaSquirt 2 $688 (no coils)

    Hal sensor / trigger wheel / brackets are near enough $100, Coils, well with the Nodiz / Micro / Megasquirt you might as well buy some LS packs, probably get 4 for $100 if you are happy on gumtree / ebay.

    So the ready to fire prices really are;

    Megajolt $570~
    Nodiz Pro $602~
    Microsquirt $660~
    MegaSquirt 2 $880~

    I've got a few wasted spark coil packs from a Merc you can have, but you'll still need a coil driver.
