    Default wolf 3d ems

    Hi,

has anyone had any experience with wold3d engime management systems? spoke to a guy today who recommended them purely on a bang-for-your-buck thing when compared with haltec or motec systems.

    lol, wolf3d?

No way, like spending money on piggybacks is a waste, so is the wolf3d...

Get a ecu that is much better, like a microtech for an extra $400

But if you want to power your car and still keep its driveability like new... save save save till you can get a decent Motec....

Remember... the power is in the tuning, and you cant tune a wolf3d anywhere near the others....

    Hey Luca,

Sorry i missed that GP dinner and didn't get to catch up. Yeah, i've been talking to Wade cams about getting my cams ground (i think around $850 from memory). They put me onto this place called B&M fuel systems in Richmond to get them installed. Was also thinking of getting the heads ported and polished ... and if the cams are more exteme i'll need new valve springs etc. which all costs $$$$. Yeah, just asking around right now.

I think it's a case of you get what you pay for. If you're putting it on a late model road car, you really need Motec, Haltech or Autronic.

Dude go the full big dollar mod on the motor and keep the car for a long time... u gotta get the head skimmed 2 bring u're CR up and get the cams working for u. Then go buy a Motec ECU and try get the smile off your face.

I already feel sorry for the Clio Sports!

wolf is no good for the soft ware is not as well known, less people know how to tune it well, or have the software

microtech is good for its cheap, i get it at cost, everyone has got it, so tuning aint a prob, but for a road car it can piss you of a bit

saying that my mate ben runs wolf in his vl turbo which is running high 11's with an engine that has done over 200000 kms. his car runs better (eg cold starts etc) than adams vs turbo that runs microtech

Simple answer in my opinion - don't do it!

I've directly seen so many nightmare stories with the Wolf-3d including recent ones - as per the other posts - save up and get one of the better computers.

    Cheers
