I have to agree with pugrambo - this is the wrong place to be asking about a Windsor. I do know Greystanes though - 2 suburbs from my work

You did? Wow cool. Did you ever go into the hardware store in the shopping centre at Kippax St just off Merrylands Rd? Used to be our family business. It was near the BP Servo from memory.

    only a couple of times

we mostly went into merrylands near kmart there to the get most things plus we had a major shopping centre at the end of our street

we lived in greystanes from 77-85

we used to get 203 boot and door rubbers from clark rubber when they were needed

it's all busy there now compared to when we lived there though

Ok cool. We owned that store from 1978-1984, so you may have even met me! Although I would have been under 4 years old
We always had a Holden panel van parked out on Merrylands road with a huge sign "hardware store open" and a flashing orange light. I'll find a photo and attach it to the thread when I'm home.

if your family has been around pugs for quite some time they may have noticed a blue 203 that used to run around greystanes and merrylands all the time

it was the only blue one around the area at the time and that was mums car

of course father had a miriad of cars over the years ranging from a pinky coloured 403 through to a green 604

there was always 3-4 pugs parked in our driveway

orange flashing light on a panel van i seem to remember

may have to jump on the phone later and quiz mother as she was the one that did most of the running around with us while father was at work

i actually bought my first car in greystanes, a 64 model 403 ute

    Hardware store in Kippax Street?

No way! That was just a paddock when I lived there... in one of the first houses built in the Bambil/Bolaro/Birriwa Streets subdivision (first stage) in Warrina Place.

We moved in to that house about April 1969... moved out to head for Warragamba and finish with a mortgage in August 1973.

Trick and Mansweto have a good name - they've been involved in V8 supercars and funny cars (AFAIK) which pretty much sums it up.

Sorry guys, I kind of lost this thread!

At that stage, we hadn't owned any Pugs... mum had had an R10 and dad the Cit ID19, but both of them had been sold and replaced with the R16TS. They also had the above mentioned Holden panelvan. The 504 was the first Pug which was bought in 1985 when we got back from Papua New Guinea. I'll ask them though!

Obviously things changed quickly between 1973 and 1978 Ray
