    Default Melbourne Dinner

For those who have missed out on previous events, we're putting one on for you this Sunday. The inaugural one on Saturday was good fun, I got to drive my first 205 Fastest event ever organised in Melbourne too.

    Here are the details.

    Date: Sunday 14th December 2003
    Time: 7.30PM
Place: Pizza Espresso - 17 Macedon Rd, Lower Templestowe. It is in the Macedon Shopping precinct.

Lots of interesting food, with creative pizzas such as a pizza with pears, smoked speck and gorgonzola (hey, it tastes good!) Another variety has bitter chicory with salty gorgonzola and discs of lemon There are also pasta dishes available and more 'conventional' pizza varieties too.

Here (http://www.theage.com.au/articles/20...522526312.html) is the review that brought me there a fortnight ago. The Age rated it as the best pizzeria in Melbourne.

Pricing is reasonable (http://melbourne.citysearch.com.au/profile?id=30527639) - Pastas $9.50-$15; pizzas $9.50-$17.50; desserts $3-$7; corkage $1 per person. Please bear in mind they don't have credit card facilities.

Please confirm your interest either on this thread or via email/private message as we must book - the restaurant has received rave reviews recently. I'm sure Luca can tell you more.

Support your local events, meet a few local Aussiefroggers and turn up. Look forward to seeing you there.

Geez, I won't be able to make this dinner either - I'll be busy working in a video production truck all day (and night)...

I should be more available for events next month as I seem to have too many commitments at the moment. Have a good time anyway and bon appetit!

Confirmations have flowed in, looks like we'll have just under 10 people for dinner. Private message me or email me, as I'll be putting in a booking tomorrow.

We'll even have an awards ceremony

The dinner was a great success, it was great to catch up with the members we haven't seen for ages, or never before for that matter.

Many thanks to Justin for taking the time to organise everything and rally the troops

Good turnout, bolstered by a tourist from the North. It was a good night and a great way to finish off 2003. Everyone had a good chat, sharing stories, people trying pizzas with pear for the first time, having a good laugh and enjoying good food.

I think rek's up for the prize for quote of the night, upon entry and seeing Derek, the reaction was an absolute pisser In the meantime, well done on the new signature

New events have been suggested tonight, lets make them happen!

Yeah the go karting sounds like a great idea for getting 2004 off to a good start Ace Karts was suggested by a couple of us as a good track with good group & timing facilities..
