    cheers!

    The newspapers tomorrow:

END OF WORLD COMING, page 2 for story.

Citroen rumoured on future Melbourne cruise, page 16.

Weather news: mainly fine, with gusty winds. Sky will be falling in the late afternoon.

The 17th sounds good for me, I would prefer a somewhat shorter rather than longer cruise. (I take it we haven't yet worked out a route?)

Yes, I was one such person who indicated my availability for the 17th. My hand has been tentatively raised to say I should still be attending. Hopefully. spanner spanner

Ahwell, on the last one, we ended at a petrol station Shorter drives are fine by me.

We can always just use an old route or just mix bits of previous drives together for variety.

Maybe we should issue a challenge - beat the SYD crew to getting the next drive off the ground. I mean, trying to beat the lead time from the last drive isn't an achievement (but thanks Richard for finally getting us off the ground!)

Now, if there really is a Citroen coming, let's all open our wallets and chip in for the tow truck fund

    Cheers,

We'd probably get some Cits along if we were to have the cruise in Melbourne's western regions. (So when they do break down, they'll be closer to home and towing will be cheaper...) mallet mallet

    I'm in...work permitting of course...
Someone has to show those second rate poor french cousins (Peugeot & Citroen...if it makes it) how a car is supposed to handle...

I just hope I don't get stuck behind that slug of a 307 when we get to the twisties..

I'm trying to decide if the 307 is faster than my car... I've got a horrible feeling I might have an advantage in a straight line. roll_lau

Yeah i'm coming... Hopefully. I'm far from the right person to ask about good roads to drive on. So my organising stops here. If citroens are coming we should consider some straighter roads though.

errr, hi shane... i wouldnt have the faintest idea.

ive just merely been trying to broadcast an aussiefrogs public service announcement.

have you any ideas for the cruise? like err... ummm, u know... favourite roads? etc, etc? would u travel to healesville and beyond?

shouldnt be hard to decide on a route.
getn people to agree on a date seems more difficult and yes we have a date.

input would be greatly appreciated. any takers?

would people care to drive down the great ocean road? just a thought.

    bow,

    reggie

P.S. hey shane, do we assume that your last post is a confirmation? coz if it is, i'll add u to our list. pretty please with sugar on top? wink

    question question Hey Pugjet, just to put my 2_cents in;
how about a rendezvous for the meet in a pug-centric place in Melb? i.e. The old City PUG in
North Melb... then from there to Geelong; FWD
to Birregurra, then to Apollo Bay for lunch...
Take the GOR back thru Lorne to Geelong and then
home. The road from Birregurra to Skene's Creek
(Apollo Bay), beats the arse off the GOR any
day... Could always take TURTON'S TRACK which
is just a deviation... Or even WILD DOG Rd.???
Anyone like this line of thinking?
    Regards... peugeot_

    That sounds good to me.

The GOR is a great piece of road, but traffic can be a bitch (not to bad at this time of the year though)

That route sounds allright but how long would the whole thing take??

I think someone else suggested a reversal of a previous route??

This would make preperation and planning a bit easier...
