A wise woman once told me, - if you aren't in bed by 10 you may as well go home.

Guys...as much as I d love to come tonight I simply can not make it...a previous and important engagement awaits...Such a shame as the venue is only a short drive from me... the 604 has kept me away from many social activities but it catches up with you eventually...Have a good night and remember "dont drink and drive"...

Would love to be there but too a short notice. Hope everybody has a good night.
A bit more notice and may even get the whole family at the one place at the same time!, the joys of teenagers that work part time!

Icon14 Twas a good night out.!

Was a good venue and due to the long weekend I think most of the locals were either at the snow or returning from same, so easy parking, and a very pleasant venue and we arrived just at the end of the Happy hour of low priced drinks, they had a seriously good selection of food and the parmas are said to be excellent, but the rest of the food looked so tempting we ended up opting for more exotic fare.

Only half a dozen A/Froggers turned up plus some friends, but it was a night of good food, good conversation, stimulating topics ranging from cars, photography, past events, some politics but not the weather and a lot of fun and laughter and a wish list of people we all want to meet and get to know better.

We were the last to leave the hotel. I would say it would be a popular venue in Port Melbourne, but not overcrowded or too noisy on that night (easier on the ears for the oldies like me)

Even though it was a light event in terms of attendance, it showed the great value of getting together, even at such short notice.

Now what we need is another venue with a nice log fire, good food, and sufficient room for a larger event and more time to promote it away from holiday weekends. i.e. tempt a few more to attend!!

Looking forward to the next A/F get-together.

Yeah, was nice to meet you Ken, and catch up with the others again. The food was amazing, I've been salivating about the Otway pork belly and vegies all week. Brilliant!

I'm sorry I couldn't make it ! I was 160 km away up the country and on my way home. Hopefully will get another chance to meet some of the clan!
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............
