Nice shots.. looks like another FCD with top weather, probably warmer than sydney, but we got to 22c. That looks like a top AF banner.
Love JR's quads and his deep wheels make a 205 look so much fatter.
Lots fo nice cars, has brad grown his hair back? or did he burn that noggen?
    cheers Xq

Alan I was home about 5 minutes after you turned on to Hale Street :p

Really great day. We gave out heaps of Phasis' artwork & made a lot of new potential members aware of what we do here.

    The weather was perfect
Raining on & off all night, as it has for the last 4, but somehow the clouds disappeared at about 9am. It only started to rain again as we were packing up, & then it was only light.

Here are all my piccies from the day:

It was a dark and stormy night………

It really was, Brisbane went to sleep on Saturday night to rain and drizzle, it had been cloudy and wet most of the day, we woke up to much the same with grey clouds and light rain.

All that changed within minutes of hanging our Aussiefrogs Banners on our tent kindly donated for the day by Neil205 (cheers) no sooner had we hung the banners than the clouds parted and Brisbane put on a beautiful Queensland day, at the end of the day we dropped the banners and the clouds filled the sky once more and we left Queensland University as we found it, windscreen wipers clearing our way home.

We had a fantastic reception for our display, supplying sufficient curiosity to successfully distribute most of our leaflets and stickers. A really great response with people enquiring about the site from the moment we opened up shop.

Key people on the day were wearing our Aussiefrog shirts and there is no doubt we made an impact. Special thanks to Brad (Phasis) for his work behind the scenes in getting all of this organised. Also a special mention to Alan S and family for making the effort and driving down from Hervey Bay, Gibgib for the inspiration for the site and bringing us all together (not to mention suppling non stop froggy videos for the day), Gem, Nick (Peugeot), Bruce H, Reno17, Ken Wilson, Ray Bell eek I can’t remember everyone… supportive wives and girl-friends, altogether a great turnout.

The cars.. you want to know about the cars, again Brisbane put on a great show with a great representation from all marques in all eras, I’ve got a few pics, mostly taken early in the day before a lot of the cars had arrived, I’m sure others will have more but to whet your appetite…. Images are about 300KB. Phasis took the shots of the Can Can girls, just whipped my camera from me, couldn’t stop him, could I.

If it wern't for the Can-Can gurls it I probably would've have been a average day.

    Wow guys,

The banner is VERY cool. Wish we'd had one. UFO hogged the spotlight over in the Citroen Camp and put his two cars between the two Citroen banners wink

The Aussiefrogs shirt was great. I had so many people come up and ask me for stickers here in Sydney. Heaps of cars already had stickers on them.

Check out my Sydney pics under the Sydney pictures thread

    ROFL,
I saw the pic of UFO's fleet very funny, excellent pics Deka, looks like a splendid turnout in Sydney.

AF banners are now available for future events we can just roll them up and post, next year we'll have them available for each state.

    Cheers

Surprised me that there were so few stickers on cars on display in Brisbane...

But it was a good turnout, there was certainly an impact for Aussiefrogs, let's hope a lot of new ones have got the message.

Did I notice that ten new members have joined up since yesterday morning?

Yup, top day all around. I think QLD has done it again in their organisation stakes. It does help a tad to have the AF Administrator, sticker & sisplay material supplier, and Car Club moderator in the one city, however the support from all people was great.

We handed out over 100 leaflets and a heap more stickers, and had many existing members come up and introduce themselves to us. C'mon you all...put your hands up and be seen cheers!

Now...to start organising for next years show whip

How about chucking some ideas around now for a future meet up whilst the adrenalin's still pumping?
As a thought, is it possible for the administrators to send out an e-mail to ALL members in the form of an invitation (or vice versa) so all know what's going on?
The reason I say this is that I asked an aussiefrogger on a UK forum if he was going to be there on Sunday & was advised that he was working because he didn't realise it was on.
It would need to be a blanket invitation but could be arranged so it all happened on the one day in all centres.
    Any advances on that suggestion?
Get that one off the ground & see where we go from there.
