Jap Chariot it is, though considering he was going 1:04's on crap tyres, and now it's running pretty much slicks, low 1:03's to high 1:02's could be in order.

Still undecided whether I'll be out there. Bit worried about the fact I am still loosing water.

I'll be out there. Won't be on track though, just spectating and giving support to a friend.

that was my point. it will more then likely get better times then the pugs.

looks like it may be raining, which is good for the RWD
less ppl on the track too

Ah, no doubt. It's a purpose built track weapon. One thing we are discounting though is the driver :p

That ain't a purpose built track weapon. Far from it. If things work out in my favour, I may have one soon though. wink

Had a good day out spectating. Good to meet a few new people from the forum and others. Shout outs to David (tyres perform any better?) and JR (your 205's a rocket!). Hope Cal got his runs in, rained a little on the drive from the track. Brad, let us know how the radiator cap pressure hunt goes. Did that yellow GT40 end up racing? What times did you guys end up with as well? roll_lau

Was yet another top day. My first run was stuffed for most of the laps because of traffic, though I managed 1:07.94 before I hit any, a full 1 second better than last time. My second run was much better, with the best a 1:07.61 and consistent 1:07-1:08's for 7 laps.

Cal went out 3 times. I'll let him fill you in on the details.

Moment of the day...being behind JR's 206Mi16 and watching his rear inside wheel pickup a full 3 inchs and stopping dead while he was still doing 80kms/h.

Zen, you'll have to bring the S16 out next time and boulster the Pug presence.

I was a little disappointed with the day as a whole. I had to run the first two sessions back to back. The brakes just didn't have enough to handle that. I was lapping in the 1.04's again. I think I may have broken the 1.03's in the last session, but as they didn't take any times, I will never know. I completely cooked two of the semi slicks, I just fitted. They are going to replace them. At no cost I expect. Otherwise I will make a big noise all over the internet about how much their tyres suck.

Very good times were recorded by both Brad and JR.

Moment of the day for me, was having the biggest and fastest slide I have ever had in a car in my life. A full turn of opposite lock at 140km\h through the full length of turn 1. I am still trying to work out how I caught it.

    Cheers,

    Cal.

did anyone take any photos of the events?

    Cal,
what tyres are you running, and what did you have to do to cook them up? Im trying to prevent the same happening to me.

They are Silverstones. A tarmac rally tyre. I have no idea why I cooked them.

Yep, sure was a great day and was chuffed about dropping 2 seconds on my previous outing in August.
My friend who had his 300zx there [with mods]could not get near or equal to my pugs times
which was pretty disappointing for him however he had a smile on his face after he took my Pug for the last 7 laps.
I told him to take it easy but the bugger went out and got equal times to me...not bad considering he just stepped out of a rear wheel car and had never driven my car b4

    Brad,
He was achieving 1;7;'s which was pretty good
seeing a couple of the 300 tt boys were 1;7's too
Those 300 tt's dont like heat me thinks.
The car that surprised me was that clio..1;5's and "has done 1;4's " Mmmmm makes me think
