Default Adelaide Drive - Before end of year?

Anyone interested in coming on a run up to somewhere in the hills for lunch on a sunny sunday?

With the end of the year fast approaching weekends can be busy - So I've put up a poll with several choices....

James Hunt: Well that should put them out then!

Michael, I'd love to drive the Adelaide hills again, unfortunately the 4000k+ round trip to get there tends to put me off.

Yep - I think it would be worth the trip - I've found some roads that I hadnt been on before the other weekend - I figure they are so good they are worth sharing

It's actually part of the Classic Adelaide Route that I'd never been over before...

    http://www.classicadelaide.com.au/ca/maps/26.jpg

I've done the first part of the stage (montacute road) but the last part where the road turns off onto Pound Road is simply spectacular!

Sorry - no maps/photos avail in Google Earth/Maps

Hahaha - well there is at least a public holiday on the 2nd - or are you still sobering up then too? I think I've got a good run this year - I'm on call for Christmas but not on call for NYE

Yeah I'm keen on any of the non-public holidays. We have double-demerit here during holidays right? Not that'll it matter too much as my control arm bushes are shagged so it'll be a nice leisurely cruise for me. Might even have to be behind Quentin's Xsara so I don't hold him up

Ahhh ... Montacute Rd that changes it's name to Montacutute Rd 1/2 way along (yes used on RA2005).

We've used it before - but usually turn off onto corkscrew road (unless people get lost then they keep going)

I hadnt been down Pound road until a couple of weeks ago. An amazing bit of road but like a lot of the roads down here if you drive like rusty you wont get far

Jude, Quentin....not mentioning any names I am away from Jan 10th and pretty busy leading up to the 25th will check the roster at work tomorrow and see what is a good date and hopefully it will fit with every one else..

Popped down to the Parade today via Norton Summit had a clean run and was thinking it was time for another get together...

Another drive sounds good. Even better if Lobethal Road (Norton summit to Lenswood) is part of the trek!

So have we got a date, time and place set? If it's not double demerit points, I'm fine with a public holiday as well.

Well how about we make it the 18th - seems to be the most popular date so far...

    Meeting place - TBA
    Route - TBA

Count me in. But my crappy old 505 GTi from the last one I went on has only gotten crappier!

I don't think the diesel would be appropriate, either. I might even hold the Citroens up then.
