Default French Club Of Tas: Winter Solstice

    Hello All,

This year we are holding our annual Winter Solstice function in the north of the state, we will be having a BBQ at the Gorge 1st Basin facility in Launceston.

We have an expected starting time of around 12:30pm. Food and Drink will be provided for members and family, but we will be charging $10 per head for non members. A good excuse to sign up on the day!

As always it will be a good fun social day with plenty of talk about French Cars!

We cant book a site at the facility so just look for the site with the Red White and Blue balloons.

It would be great to see a few AF people on the day!

    Cheers

    Ben Sturges
    President FCCT

Count me there, as long as I'm in tassie, and my 505 hasn't given up on me *laughs* Poor thing it needs some attention after spending two weeks of hard driving around victoria.

That's all right, most of us can identify with that.

I can't promise to be there, because of two kids and their school sport, but I can hope!! It looks like that will be a good week for me - a trip to Swansea and then a trip to Burnie. The BBQ would finish it off nicely - and I could finally join up. I will have the AF sticker on the car by then, too.

School sports have worked in my favour for once, so two new members coming along (make sure there's a form there for me to fill in ON THE SPOT (cause otherwise it probably won't happen).

Pug will even get a wash before we arrive

    Default How'd it go?

    Hi Fellas
How did the event go? I'm really sorry I missed it, my car was in the workshop, just got it back today.
It wasn't too wet I hope?
Anyway, please keep us posted on the next event Ben!
    Regards, Andrew.

I can't speak for Ben or the officials, but as a new member (signed and paid on the day ) I thought it was excellent. The food and drink were great, and it was good to meet other frog lovers. It wasn't wet, and in fact it was lovely and sunny until about 1, but then it came over cloudy and got colder.

Hope your frog is feeling better now (and you too, of course).

Look forward to meeting you at a future event.
