Start at Woodcroft BP servo on richmond road
DOONSIDE (its 5 mins down richmond rd from blacktown station)
Address: Cnr Richmond & Woodcroft Rds
There is a Maccas right next to the BP servo as well for thoes who want a quick breakfast

Arrive @ 7.45 to leave at 8.00 am sharp

If anyone isnt sure on how to get there we can have a 2nd meeting point at Richmond RAAF info centre, just post your interest in the drive and ill work out a time. It will probably be about 8.45ish

If no one else wants to meet there then we'll bypass this stop

Could someone with an old rear wheel drive Pug meet up with you guys when you get to Bathurst?

I might get keen and meet you guys at Lithgow

    Sure You can

Make a drive out of it and meet us at Lithgow for the run past Lake Lyell and through Tarana

It will be a group of friends with various makes of cars,
ie a few Toyota's, Bmw's, Honda, Nissan's so it will be an interesing day

Seeing as your a Bathurst local, is there anywhere in particular you can recommend for lunch in town, ie a good pub, resturant even a pie store etc

also apart from the Track is there anything that i should put time aside for sight seeing as well as we'll probably be in Bathurst for about 3 hrs all up.

I'll meet you guy's at Lithgow. It'll be good to take the ol' girl out for another run.

There's a good pub to go to for lunch, I'll make sure that they do lunches on Saturdays.

Theres the motor racing museum to go see. They recently did extensions there and added a few more exhibits (I think).

Don't forget the Motor Museum at Mt Panorama. We didn't get time to visit it on the run last year.

I could be in that too...

What time are you leaving Bathurst? I think I'll be coming through too late, however.

Edit:... sorry, wrong date, I won't be there that weekend at all!

    Sounds good,

Ive spoken to a mate at Bathurst who said the GT Angus Bar and Grill is good for lunches

Apparently theres a huge Dinosaur Museum to see as well...

It really depends on what our Respective partners say

We get the driving part and they want to sight see Bathurst....

Doesnt stop you guys from checking out the motorsport museum though...

Im also still pondering the route once we get to Lithgow...
Lake Lyell - Tarana is good

But what about after lake lyell turing left towards hampton and across to oberon and then to Bathurst???

Is this a good run looks good on the nrma map i have

2pugs, being a local what do you think or

The GT sounds good for lunch.

Across to Oberon from Lithgow would be ok. I havent driven on the Oberon/Hampton road, but have been told that its a good run.

The dino/fossil museum is just up the street from the GT.

    Maybe Monday week now...

They've changed my direction altogether this weekend, so I'll be back in Brisbane for most of next week, then I'm working at Young and Goulburn the weekend of the 16th.

I need to get my trailer from 'rambo's to Sydney too, so I'd have to do that on the way down, then go to Wagga on the Monday, then back up... no, probably won't go near Bathurst.

That road is quite good, one lane each way, bummer if you get stuck behind a truck... Plenty of bends.

Have you thought of going from bathurst-oberon-lithgow for the drive home. Plenty fo corners then.

    Thanks for that Rambo

On the day i guess once we get to lithgow we'll decide with path to take, wether it be tarana - bathurst or oberon to bathurst im suer the drive will be fun

Depends on how much time we have on the way home i guess... id prefer bendy stuff but i may be stuffed (driving and a big lunch ) by then
