Default SYD: Hi-Comp Dyno Day - 5th March

    Hi all,

Just relaying the message about this dyno day.

Time: Starts at 8am on 5th March. First come first served.

    Address is:

    Unit 1
    12 Eddie Road
    Minchinbury

It's only a 2wd dyno so there is no use bringing anything 4wd.

Costs $50 for 3 power runs and 2 printouts with whatever you want on them (power and torque, power and A/F, power and boost).

I'm thinking of going as Joe is a genuinely nice guy.....it should be a good day.

Darren (MYT205) the cardigan Camry driver will be there all day helping out

Might see a few of you there!

So what are you testing Brendan? The freshly tweaked 16V, the Fridge, or the GS?

    The 16v

The fridge is being traded in the next few months, can't wait! The GS might be interesting though, but I want to know what the AF is doing in the BX

Got anything on that day Simon? Would be good to see you there. Stick the 206 on!

Alas, I am nightshift the 4th and 5th so I can't make it. It's a pity actually, because I'm sorely tempted. Plus there won't be any WRX boys!

    Oh well.

From my map this place looks a little west from the turnoff to Eastern Creek Raceway on the Great Western Highway. Check on whereis.com.au for details.

Just a reminder, this is on tomorrow.

    Location.

Driving west from Wallgrove road, or Eastern Creek Raceway. Drive past Minchinbury estates until you come to industrial area.
Turn LEFT before McDonalds (only Maccas since Eastern Creek).
    At T junction turn RIGHT.
Follow road past round about, turn RIGHT into 1st driveway (corner block of industrial units)
Hi-Comp is on right hand side corner.

I didn't hang around for long so I don't know of any of the other results. I managed to get 70fwkw and a very rich AF graph which shows there is something not quite right.

Will have a fiddle and stick it back on the dyno later

    Lets go halves Brenno.

My run on thursday was very lean. I have a fuel pump problem, low volume.

its a very "compressed" capacity, and soon to be even more.

Well, I guess 70kw isn't too bad, but then again, maybe not so good - what should the power output be on this motor?

So what's the diagnosis? Is the AFM a bit dodgy?

    Simon

Standard manufacturer power output was 108 kw.

I've fitted a new set of plugs and it has given the motor a new burst of life. I think the old plugs had been in there for a while. Paul V gave them the thumbs up last year though, which is strange.

If I get time I'll stick on the dyno again.

Would anyone be interested in a AF related dyno day sometime in May? If we can get the numbers together I'll have a word to Darren + Joe. Maybe we can combine a day with another group.
