    hey guys,

one of my mates has recently got a BMW and he is part of the German Car Cub of Victoria, or GCCV. they are getting a Lake Eildon cruise going, and everyone is invited.

thought it would be a good idea to see if we can get some french in amongst the germans. plus the it could be a good drive, as eildon is a good destination.

    DETAILS
    Who: Everyone!
What: Cruise to Lake Eildon - Its BYO Lunch on this cruise. There are a couple of shops up there now, there is a bakery that does lunches, pies n stuff, and a couple of cafe's
Where: Macdonalds 'Restaurant' - On the Western Ring Road - heading towards the airport.
When: 23rd of JANUARY, 9am for 9:30am departure, SHARP!
    Why: Cause its there
    How: In your horseless carriage.

hope many of you can make it.

    DejaVu,

Was it you that emailed me a few weeks (months) back??

I recieved an email from someone on here asking for the route map used on an old cruise.

If it was you, I appologise as I accidentaly deleted your email...got sent to the read items box instead of the archive box...

If it wasn't you then delete reference...

BTW I wouldn't mind attending but you haven't got a date on the post above...

nah, i didnt email you awhile ago asking for old maps, so consider this reference deleted.

i edited the original post to include the date now, THE CRUISE DATE IS 23RD OF JANUARY.

yeah, i reckon that they should just turn to a euro club, but hey. should be good to see some pugs out.

    BUMP

This cruise sounds like it gonna be a blast, there's definetly gonna be some froggie representation.

It would be great to have more af members, there should at least be three or four us there anyway.
for those af guys that havent driven to lake eildon, this drive is arguably one of the best drives you can go on without havent to go ridculously far. Af drives to lake eildon have been arguably the best.

hmmm looks like i will be driving ultra ultra cautiously on this cruise. ive exausted my P plater points, lost 5 in 12months. so if i loose one more, im not driving for the next 6 or so months.

should be interesting to see how many people i piss off with my newly acquired grandpa driving style.

Hmmm, looks like I can't make it this time around - I'm going to be down at a mate's farm in Yarragon that weekend. Damn, it would have been good to catch up with everyone.

    Have a good one.

geez, you offered me a passenger seat but you haven't been driving for a month. I've seen you drive normally without a break of a month. Man, do I have a death wish

Could possibly be going but have a lot on that weekend. Asanka, I'll let you know if I am still keen.

    cheers bro

Lucin, I wanna organise a cruise for the birth of my new baby (car) maybe end of feb. Although I have to keep it below 3000rpm for 1000Ks so maybe a little later

Why keep it under 3000rpm for the first 1000km - I think this is a poor thing to do actually in terms of running an engine in. Have a look online about previous discussions on the matter.

No... drive it normally. This is not the 50's any more. I appreciate you wanting to be careful, as would I if I bought a new car. But this is un-necessary. Don't let anyone over 50 tell you that you have to RUN-IN a car.
