French car enthusiasts in Canberra have recently started having short monthly outings, for club plated cars. This involves a destination for lunch on a Sunday and ALL French cars and families are WELCOME, but it mainly gives cars on restricted rego a chance to be used more.

This month, August, we're off to Collector Pub for lunch.
    WHEN; Sun 22nd August
MEET; 10.30 for 11am departure from SHELL servo, Federal Highway, WATSON, adjacent to EPIC.
CONTACT; LISA MOLVIG. 6254 2040. YOU MUST BOOK for LUNCH by 15th AUGUST

There will be 6 Renaults, 2 Peugeots and one Citroen on the run this Sunday. We will be taking a more scenic route than originally planned as the Collector pub has a group of 40 for lunched booked at 12.30. So we will head up to Gundaroo for a coffee and then take a back road to Collector for a latish lunch at 1.30pm.

    Advance notice of future runs:

    October 24: Wee Jasper
    November 28: Lake Bathurst

Great run to Collector, via Gundaroo, last Sunday. Discovered that the road between these villages runs along the top of the escarpment above Federal Highway near Lake George. Great views of the water (ha, ha!). But one of our group had a firey end to his day, starting a grass fire when the engine caught fire on way home! Very sad, but he plans to rebuild the engine and the car will get the respray that it has been promised for many years.

Next drive:September 26: meet in the carpark of George Harcourt Inn, cnr Gold Creek Rd & Barton Highway, 10.30am for 11am departure to Binalong. We will visit the Binalong Motor museum (entry $5). BYO picnic/BBQ lunch at museum.
