    Hi All,
Is anyone organising a track day in Melbourne by any chance? Or does anyone know of one thats being held soon, but doesnt have to be attended to by club members?

I suspect if you wait for AF to organise a track day in Melbourne, you'll be waiting a very long time, I don't think there is enough real interest in any numbers here to get one going. The best thing to do is join up with a club and go on their events, as they have the organisation, resources and insurance to put these events on.

Have a look at www.pccv.org in the "What's On" page and there should be some details about sprints, etc - often they go with the Alfa club down at Philip Island, etc.

Basically, you need to be a member of a CAMS affiliated car club to attend track days.
There is the occasional Non CAMS event but you would still need to join the Non CAMS organisation in order to take part.
Both RCCV and PCCV are CAMS affiliated with PCCV members regularly attending track days.
Club membership is around $50 and the CAMS competition licence is around $90.

If you want to drive your car in a competitive manner I suggest you join the Gippsland Car Club. They have their own Hill Climb track and get invited to most sprint meetings held by other clubs.

As a club member you have the use of the track for private practice as long as you comply with a few simple requirements.

As a member of GCC you'll get enough competitive driving to make you happy.
