If you get lost, you can come back to the meeting point early. This is where the BBQ will be and will be where other people are that are playing the game.

There's gonna be a fair few people that are driving solo (either friends couldnt make it, or like me they have none). So i assume a fair few will have to leave cars behind???
I assume thats all good, cause there'll be a few left behind to do the BBQ?

I'll put myself down as a chef & executive car minder if no one else is hangin for either position!

OK, time to get down to business. I've been in contact with a mate at work who runs a business who organises these things. So I now need to know who is seriously keen so we can firm up numbers for this.

We'd be looking at a 3-4 hour Observation Rally. Starting at 9:30 or so and finishing at 1. Obviously, the smarter you are the quicker you'll finish.

The rally would take part in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney, finishing in the Galston area. After the rally has completed, there will be a full BBQ with salads and drinks.

We would be looking at around $20 per head for this.

As I've said before, each car needs at least 2 people in it. (Nate, I'm sure you can find someone). Aussiefrogs, Ford Forums and Game For It Entertainment are not liable for your car (or any car) or any personal injury incurred during this event. The event is on public roads and all road rules much be followed when peforming in this event. I'll post a bit more information on Observations Rallies as I get it from the organiser.

Let me know ASAP if you are interested. As I am involving a 3rd party to organise this, your promptness would be greatly appreciated. This means I can join in, which I'm very happy about.

    - Lincoln

Mods, can you make this event a sticky and modify the title to reflect the Rally?

Jack, no organisation is required for the BBQ. All is being arranged by the company I'm getting to do this. So, you and Nate can tee up if you can't find anyone to join you. It's a challenge which should appeal to non car enthusiasts too.

Here are some examples of the clues you have to follow. It gives you an idea that this is more of a challenge which anyone can enjoy, rather than just enthusiasts.

    Some Sample Clues

Follow along and you’ll come to a T
Make the right turn and happy you’ll be
When green are the lights get into motion
Turn onto the road named after an ocean

Again you should come to a round intersection
Be careful to go in the proper direction
If you win you’ll be able to brag and to gloat
So head towards the smart man with a boat

Turn left on the ancient road that heads north

Continue on and name the place Happy Gilmore might go to work on his game?

Turn into the street named after an American state.

Also, I have to nomiate the difficulty of the questions. I reckon you're all pretty smart fellows, so I'm going to nominate a moderate level of difficulty to the questions. The sample ones are "easy".

Iain, shame you can't make it. The BBQ only will be around the $10 mark.

    Hey Boys!

Sorry for the long absence, busy with too many other things!

Unfortunatly (well actually, i think it's fortunate ) i won't be able to make the first of may as i'll be in Rome having lunch with my family! I'll be in Paris a week later though, so i'll be sure to think of you all while i'm there, and try and take a few pics of some new froggies for you all to salivate over!

    Have a good bbq!

G'day Benny! Thats a very strange time for you to be eating lunch isn't it? I mean, i know the Roman's are different from us Aussies. But lunch at 4AM??? Geeeez!

(For those a little slow on the uptake, the approximate time conversion from around 1300 SYD/AUS time is equal to 0400 EUR/ROME time!)

Nah, wrong guy/wrong car. Yeah I know there was someone with an Mi16 here getting that work done to their car.

My 6 week old waterpump has been leaking for the last few weeks and I've been waiting for the warranty replacement. Been having to pour a litre of water in the beast everyday (and that's just for my daily get about of no more than half an hour trips).

Should get fixed next week if all goes to plan, along with the fitment my short shift kit.
