Default French Car Festival - Victoria next Sunday 1 November 2015

    Hi to Aussiefrog members.
The annual French Car Festival is happening next Sunday 1 November and you are all very welcome to attend.

This year the event will be at Como North Oval in South Yarra ( Melways 2M/D2 )
The gates will open at 9.00 am and the event should finish at 3.00 pm.
Entry fee for your car will be $ 5-00.

We are expecting a wide variety of French voitures ; including Citroen, Peugeot, Renault, Simca and of course a selection of vintage models ( Bugatti, Delage, Amilcar, Citroen, Peugeot, Renault ). Our intrepid Solex riders will arrive en-masse and there will be club shops and new models to compare. Our friendly CAB55 coffee vendor, Mark, will be there in his Citroen H-Van and there will be ice-creams and gelato to enjoy.

Well, I had hoped to have added 'Matra' to your list of participating marques but my wife is overseas & I won't leave my dogs in a kennel, so . . . . . I wish the event well.

The Djet will be at Wogs & Frogs in my home city on 7 Nov. though.

    cheers! Peter

Damn. I was going to bring The Alleged Vehicle along but I'll be in NZ.

    Ah well, next year maybe.

Have a great day and please post lots of pictures!

A real full house today with the 2015 French Car Festival held at lower Como Park, South Yarra. As opposed to the normal venue in Balwyn although wasn't a recent one also down at Williamstown.

At the gate great to see "Sparkey", up in the back stalls of the Robert Opron CX/GS section lots of mutual appreciation, tips, great conversation and lots AFers 😀 Great to meet IE23, WRB, George 1/8, Old Coot owner of the other Von Bock, the blue CX for sale for quite a while ex Tasmania.

    Hi John,
Many thanks for taking some photos for us.
As one of the organizers I would like to thank everybody who attended and made the day FCF a success. It was a bit crowded in the end but I was very happy with the strong support from all of the clubs/members and particularly the vintage drivers who arrived in good numbers.

Thanks Ted it was a good day. Congrats to CCCV commitee. I thought the numbers were down, didn't seem to be as many Pugs and no PCCV tent. Why? Space was a little tight, trying to park the 403 made me realise why god invented power steering. Still a nicer venue than the cow paddock in Balwyn.

    Here are my photos.
