Default British Car Day Kings School

Just back from the event, probably 2000+ entrants, and one huge traffic jamb both ways along Pennant Hills road for about 2km for 3 hours.

Too many cars to look at and too many people to chat with(You meet a lot of car buffs competing in motorkhanas over 30 years).

My picks/pics (I usually only like original cars) :-

Why would anyone do that to a Series MM?

You need to know more history before assuming the worst. It may have been a choice of either scrap metal or a resto-rod based on lack of components and general condition. Still that unmistakable shape.

RR - any Slough Dees there?

My photos did not do the little Morrie justice, The job had been very tastefully carried out inside and out, sorry, I loved it!

Soooooo many people (and cars). I've never seen anything like it. The traffic was banked up to Carlingford and down to James Ruse Drive. I made the mistake of wanting to pick up something from work. The police didn't look happy either. I hope you walked Robert.

You are not serious, are you? Slough Citroens are not British. And no, there were none there.

Arguably they are more british than an Australian made Morris Minor
(Although I feel I will get shot down if someone points out the aussie MM were CKD kits).

A similar argument my friend made with his French built and previously registered DKW 1000SP that he wanted to bring along to All French Car Day now that he has imported it from France.

We all know that some French cars had their engines fitted in the back, but not their engines fitted back to front!

Maybe your friend could bring his DKW 1000SP to "The French Car Owners Tyre Kicking"?

Not a bad idea, i would love to see it. Perhaps i should come and show off my 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser.Soon after I bought it, and mentioned on Aussiefrogs, i received a PM from someone whos son worked within the development process of the FJ suspension, and some ideas from the suspension of the Citroen C4 ended up in the FJ! How you like them apples!

Maybe a few months away, he was pulling the engine for a rebuild last time I spoke to him.
I also think the next tyre kickers may conflict with the HSRCA Marulan Drive day?
