Viva Band is not the only one unavailable - there is no accommodation left on Sunday night either......
do we know what the weather will be and what are the expected numbers from past experience. we have booked and driving up on Saturday midday quietly stopping along the way for a good coffee. thats the plan. hope to see many french cars in the vineyards.
I'll probably wander up there in the morning.
Another great day in the Hunter.
And enormous thanks to Don, Brett and all the Nightingale Wines folk who put on such a convivial, relaxed day for us! Good food and wine, good company, plenty to chat about, and a superb late winter's day.
Oh, and some great cars too.

attended this event for the first time and would like to congratulate the organisers for a fantastic venue, very fitting for displaying european cars. it was well attended and from the way it was managed it can only grow. the drive up from sydney was what my D needed and i enjoyed, and it was also good to chat with fellow french car enthusiasts and friends, the weather and scenery was perfect.
don brett and the nightingale staff were great hosts and all that attended i believe had a great time. the music trio also provided the ambient notes that rounded off the perfect day.
also the weather did not disappoint, after a crisp mornings dew evaporated the sun shone on all the new and classic metal and bling on display.
an obvious point was that there was NO representation form any of the manufacturers of any of the marques and it strikes me as being a missed opportunity. while it may not generate immediate sales etc, however it would certainly be good PR. if this is at all read by the persons concerned with the vehicles of the french kind then may be next time. who knows.
photos now uploaded - encountered cows along the way as well. they has escaped- helped the farmer by driving him to catch them- he happened to have a D story and appreciated the comfortable lift to get the escapees.

hello fellow froggers
yes indeed the event this year was a very pleasant experience. Its amazing that in its 5th year this event still brings in french cars that a lot of us have never seen before.
attached some photographs and very humble thanks to those that attended and enjoyed the event. more pix to come
So who won the prizes?
Oops, guess I parked the koleos in the wrong spot with the judged cars, but it was close enough as I had convinced the wife that Broke was on the way from Hervey bay to home at Kilsyth Victoria.managed about an hour and a half there looking at the great cars, eating great food and sampling the muscle relaxing fluid(brought some home for later). That r1133 withr1134 driveline is something else, great day, great venue reminded me of the yarra valley down here, fortunately here though we don,t have that mining creeping south from singleton.Anyway experienced the putty road towing the van and a lovely old pub at Windsor the next day,i wonder if I can hoodwink the wife next year as well. jim
dacia4x4 Bring the van as well next year and stay onsite
Thanks for the offer Don, sounds like a plan. As we stayed at mc namara park in broke on sat night, nice and quiet,my wife had a vertigo relapse on sunday morning and spent three hours in singleton hospital, parked van at caravan park in singleton, she slept while I went to fcd.I didn,t realise those coal trains were so long and ran through the night sounded like they were about ten metres from our van,so I think staying overnight at the winery would have to be a real positive. jim
