Look, Justin, I have a LOOK bike. And it is an ideal world.
I prefer riding the American bike though, but it aint as fast.
Any takers, or is it just Gavin and me again?
Surely Justin you could buy a Swedish/pine bike (with crumple zones)at Ikea or Bilia and join us!

Default Yarra trail Sunday 10.00 am

Warwick and others I think Yarra would be best due to GP traffic for other options. I can then get home for to get the best seat for the race.
Carpark of Eaglemont tennis club Melway 31 K10 would be best place to meet up. Does this suit? Is a great ride back to nature , trees river, birds etc.

Gavin I will do my best to be there.
My 19 year old after being sick for her birthday last Saturday is tonight having a party. They are in the yard which is great, however one guy brought a turntable and amps so its gonna be a noisy night. Hopefully I can sleep, and get up at the requisite time.
I will try my darndest. W

Nice ride. I met Gavin at Westerfolds Park by accident. Thanks Gavin for the company and showing me The OUter Circle bike trail.
This coming Sunday, I would like to ride round the lake again. I will try to check if this is possible later in the week, but it should be.
In case it matters to anyone, Beach road has yet another triathlon so it will be blocked AGAIN Sunday 15th.

I am like a 42 year old Lance Armstrong who has been off the bike and in the car industry for 15 years, and I have a gut. And, yes, I have done hardcore......
Give it a go, and if you can't (or we can't) keep up, then some people will ride by themselves.

Albert Park at 10.00am, sounds like a few new froggers will be there which will be fine for the draughting heading into the wind. There is plenty of time for pit stops on our rides to fill the water bottle and make room for more. See you all there. Lance Armstrong? no way more like Warwick with added 5-10 kg.

Asanka, may I suggest a new verb for you to attach to GOLF. Doing Golf sounds a lot cooler than playing golf. Playing is what you do with dollies and skipping ropes. Makes you sound like a nancy boy.
Don't do golf, come and ride with us instead. Anti-clockwise, like all the cool guys ride.

Sunday at 10am sounds good. I might get there a bit early and get a few more k's in (which when run through the bullshit machine, means that this time I might actually get there by 10 ) Just look out for the "Soviet Union" coloured Cannondale (and not the Volvo coloured one )

Next week will be no good for me BTW as there is MTB orienteering on then. Despite getting lost for 20 minutes at the start and having my "best so far" crash half way through, it was great fun. You guys need to shed your fear of dirt!!

And yes, it has been scientifically proven (I asked someone in a white coat and glasses) that cycling anti-clockwise around Albert Park Lake makes you cooler. Even Schumacher never dared to go in that direction.

The ride was great today, the weather was perfect, even the wind was cooperating with us, which is very strange for Albert Park.

Gavin, Warwick and myself were there for the regulation 10 laps, then Warwick hang around for one more before I decided to try and go for a 'hot lap' time before heading off myself.. had to stop at that roundabout near the aquatic centre thing, but still ended up clocking up a 8:44.7 (avg speed 36.0kph) ... the gauntlet has been thrown down

There's MTB Orienteering next weekend, www.ozmtbo.com is the web site with all the details. Great fun, and the courses are from 5km-30km so there's something for anyone's skill level. (If anyone needs knobby tyres, I have a fresh set of no-name ones lying around that I'll never end up using, and a set of Hutchinsons with about 10-20% tread left)

Thanks guys twas a lovely ride.
Peter, yes I hung round for 2 laps and I thought you were gonna go for the fast one, NEXT lap. So no goodbye's I trailed off seeing I didn't have the luxury of driving home(I had to take it easy). Sorry bout that.

Anyway this Sunday 21/03 is Great Melbourne Bike ride day. I couldn't care less about this, what about you guys? Do you feel any need to do this ride???

Otherwise I am happy to ride Albert Park again, or Yarra trail, or the Maribyrnong. What sorta riding do you wanna do Justin? What bike is it by the way?

    Asanka what about you?
