Just like WoI, how do I make this a sticky? I want it to appear on the home page of events.

Bit surprised to see read this. Is this a new criteria for 2014? How does it impact potential entries for "Best Modern Overall"?

Ross is referring to Best French Car - or the overall concours winner.

Best Modern is a different category - pertaining to cars from three to eight years old.

The rules were revised after the 2012 All French Car Day.

    Is it this Sunday?

The NSW All French Car Day on Sunday, 13 July.

2014 French majestic vehicle display. The Sydney French Car Day on Sunday 13 July from 9:00am. Same venue as last year and years previously - Silverwater Park on the south western side of Silverwater Bridge. Any car of a French heritage is welcome. Entry fee is $10 per car that goes towards recovering the costs of the park hire. This is a concourse d'elegance with magnificent trophies for winning cars, or if you prefer, just park your car in the field.
judging commences at about 9:30 and last entries for judging must be in by noon.
Any car presented for final judging has to be owned by a current financial member of an incorporated Australian or New Zealand car club, not necessarily a French car club. The car has to be from a French manufacturer and be a minimum of eight years since its build date. A car presented for judging has to be driven to the event. But, if you are not a member of a car club, you may be eligible for a prize. Or join a car club on the day.
Everyone with an interest in French cars is welcome. For more information contact the Citroen, Peugeot, Renault or Simca car club. Or Ross Berghofer, tel 0409 504 551.

For those who haven't been before, here is a map link.

What happened to all the R8G's? There were none unlike past years.

There was only 1 R8, and no G's.
Last year was a bit extraordinary as I promoted the 50th anniversary of the R8 pretty heavily to attract more there.
We normally get 2-3 Gordini's but although their owners were there mostly today, they were not in their R8Gs.

    Great day!

After being a Club Member now for 30 years and participating in a motorkhana or two, one gets to know a few people, and I did a lot of "Tyre Kicking" today.

Good practice for next Sunday's "Tyre Kicking" at Newington Reserve. See you there at around 10:30am!

For those interested in the older cars, I took a few pictures and a video. Mostly Citroens but a few older models from around the field.

Thanks for the pics Baz. I trust that means both you and the GTA made it home in one piece. Great to meet you and others today with an appreciation of cars with character! Nice that the sun was out too

No burnouts at the French Embassy tomorrow ok

Good to see you have posted. Good trip home and not booked as far as I know. Gendarmes at the French Embassy no doubt will evict me if I do any burnouts! Will post some pictures of the event.
