I was really hacked off that I couldn't come. Waited for 90 minutes today for the Flagon owner to make contact, that blew out my free time.

Been meaning to come along to one of these for a while now but keep forgetting... looks like a treat. Must go ahead and put this in diary!

We will be having a (maybe wet, though certainly cold) Tyre Kickers on Sunday!
(There are no rules including on weather).

Bring two coats and park in the under cover parking provided.

NB July's Tyre Kicking day will be held on 17/7/2016, in conjunction with the French Car Day that will be held just across the road under Silverwater Bridge. See Sticky Thread: Sydney French car day 2016, July 17

It wasn't all that cold & the only attendee that got wet was the dog chasing his ball.

I'd really love to go, but my 84 year old neighbour's twin great-nieces are in their first ever school play in a couple of weeks, and - well, you know how it is... </typical pissweak excuse>

Actually I am working in Pt Piper all day, to pay for repairs (needs new front brakes this week, and tyres next) to my 605, rent, recipro saw, towing bills, rego, etc etc! So, I will be there in spirit.

    "</typical pissweak excuse>" I agree!

Bet you would be the only 605 there.

As I agree with Kim Luck on the issue of brakes being kept in good order, needs must.

I may post an early shot, being nearby to the venue around 0700H...

Thanks for that Tony, that is a lot better than no one turning up at all.

I should have come as I copped a real drubbing at the motorkhana! (Ask pug206gti) (Wow I am only second best in the class now!)

6 French and one 73 Holden Belmont had attended when I left. Ron with his Zimbabwe Diesel 505 wagon, Steve with his Blue 404 wagon, Andrew with his CX 25GT, a new face who's name I forgot with a 504, Rod with the blue 404 Sedan, and me with the LHD 2CV. And Trish my partner, brought her beloved 73 Holden Belmont wagon.

Good to hear Bertie! I got there at about 1:15PM (often there are still people around till about two so I thought I'd try my luck. Braved the crowds at the cherry blossom festival at the Auburn Botanic gardens in the morning, which was a nice way to spend a Sunday morning with the family
