Unfortunately, I cannot make it from Canberra with my A110. My daughter has arranged for my new grandson to be christianed on the same day. She was not to know- I didn't mention I was going away - my fault. So will have to wait for the next Renault day in Vic.

I would like to present our Renault R12 Gordini replica rally car at this show, do we just roll up or do we need to make prior arrangements?

If your trying to put that strut on that end of the car you might be there for a while. Better get that bike ready if I was you.

From an exchange in the sticky thread-

I'm looking forward to it, should be a great day. At time of writing BOM forecast says cloudy w/ scattered showers so maybe bring an umbrella just in case.

Fred, Just turn up, this has always been the way the day has run.

Same goes for anyone else interested, people have parked their car outside in the past, don't know why, to save $10?
Hopefully there won't be enough parking outside for this to happen at Williamstown!!
The more cars the better, the condition is irrelevant, the well used examples are more interesting anyway.

It's great to see well used cars in amongst the princesses, and they usually tell more interesting stories too!

I've given the GTi6 a wash, but if anything this just seems to bring out all the chips and scratches from the previous owner!

As this'll be my first time at any such meet-up...is there some sort of top secret AF handshake I should be aware of?

Would love to be there, but just like last year it clashes with an event that I am involved with setting up etc, Hope you have a great day and next year the events don't clash. I am sure it will be a success.

First festival and was a great day, who owned the 605 was my favourite of the day. Don't ask me why but looked on the phone and took about 10 snaps of it. Beautiful car

Thanks to all the organisers, especially the Renault Car Club as the primary club this year.

Terrific venue and the variety of cars covering about 100 years of French manufacturing was outstanding. My personal pick of the show was that gorgeous silver 404 convertible with the Pininfarina body. Fabulous paint job and immaculate under the bonnet.

What was good about the venue was the huge indoors area, the interest by being bayside with the boats and waterfront, the proximity to the great cafes in Williamstown and the period feel of the surroundings. We found everyone we spoke to very chatty and happy, so all in all a most enjoyable day.

Pretty sure it was Salman Chaudrey who had the 605.
I liked the green and white Simca Vedette, even with the nasty wire wheels.
I've always liked the look of these cars.
Possibly the most interesting exhibit was the Hartnett chassis with it's alloy castings, as designed by Gregoire.

Looks like an absolutely fabulous turnout of beautiful cars. Funny that the 2 205s I can see in the photos are both down from NSW but neither was at the Sydney day! Was the grey S3 for sale a 16v? That would be tempting....

I shouldn't even think about this, but what was he asking, and why haven't I seen that car advertised anywhere? Looks from the photos as though it could be quite nice. And Classic #12 looks fantastic!

Yes definitely concur with Leconte, great location, almost a perfect day weather wise and very nice and easy to mingle with fellow enthusiasists! Here's a link to about 120 shots of the day. They're from an IPhone so sorry about the quality. Sorry I missed seeing the 605 Peugeot and also the pale blue CX Turbo.

Here is my set of 120 photos from the day (on Flickr). Did not capture all year and model details so if anyone wants to leave comments on Flickr I will try to update the tags. Note I am brand new to Flickr so am probably not setting up everything the best possible way.
