Should that not be "Owners of French Cars".
    Might explain any poor attendances.
(Just being pedantic, because I can!)

It indicates that the owners of the cars are French rather than that the owners own French cars
    Please pay attention.

What if the person is still paying off a loan on the car therefore technically not owning it ?

    G'day,
according to my English language expert, the noun is 'car', therefore the adjective 'French' is describing that word.
    Apparently.
Similarly; French car club, a club for French cars, not a French club for cars.
Peugeot car club, a club for Peugeot cars, not a Peugeot club for cars.
    regards,
    Les W.

Ah well, I bow (or is it Bough?) to your expert, but my rendition removes any ambiguities as to the nationalities of both the owners and the cars.
I am an Australian owner of French cars (Renault 4CV, Citroen Light 15) but I suppose you could be excused for calling me an Aussi French car owner. I'd probably know what you meant although neither my Mother nor my Father was French, and I also own cars from other countries!

    G'day,
I agree. When I was young, we had a crystal cabinet. It was made of wood and glass. I could never understand why it was called a crystal cabinet.
