    Default R8 Cables & Rubbers

    Hi All
I need to replace the brake, clutch and accel cables on my R8.
Has anyone had them made locally (by matching) or gone down Meca parts path?
Also what about sourcing rubbers parts locally?

I've had replacement accelerator, clutch & handbrake cables made by Flexible Drive Agencies. It's best if you have your own cable end hardware from an old cable to use. If you get the hardware zinc plated first, then they will look like a bought one.

I seem to recall on one of the C31 motoring programs (Gasolene?) that there was a guy who made up cables called the "Cable Man" or something like that. He stated that he could make any cable from a sample.
Does anyone recall the email or contact details?

I recently had a cable made up for my R17 in Brisbane. But they used the original ends. It was fairly expensive but is very thick good quality and I doubt it will break too soon. $90 for 900mm.

Autocables. He's a restorer of Mustangs(?)

    Good quality work and reliable.

You mail the old cable to him, he remakes (using original ends if new are NLA) and ships the new cable back to you.

I'd say the other places as suggested would also be able to make up a cable from a sample. Or alternately, do the TV programs you have seen have a website with an archive you could search or send a message to?

I have some of the cables here, NOS. I can check part numbers for you. There may be some door rubbers too.
