Can anyone tell me if the Flow Divider on a 1986 BXTRS is repairable? ( It is leaking Hyd.oil past the o rings)

Hi,

I'd just give a wreckers a ring and get 'em to send you another 2nd hand one. I don't think I've ever heard of one leaking before, so it's gotta be worth the risk.

Much less downtime if you can just swap 'em over. Dave Cavanagh had quite a few BX's being wrecked, so he could be worth a ring ... Dunno what sort of $$$$ he'd want for one though.

seeya,

Sorry Julian,

check out here:

<a href="http://www.aussiefrogs.com/fcr.html#victoria" target="_blank">http://www.aussiefrogs.com/fcr.html#victoria</a>

If Dave suggests something other than a 2nd hand part, go with his suggestion, he'd know the best way to go much more than I would (something to do with working on the mongrels for years :p :p )

Now to get onto him about my BX's starter motor, it's a brand newy, probably not even a year old and it's taken to grinding sh!t out of my ring gear Wonder what sort of factory warranty it has

seeya,
Shane L.

Julian,

There was a guy called Vasco from Portugal who posted all the pics associated with this on the BX Citroen-L group some time ago.
If the worst comes to the worst, he is quite an approachable type of guy & I have his e-mail addy. Just drop me a line off list & I can give it to you.
You'll find it at the link below but will probably not be able to access it until you join (free of charg) the group. He posted pics showing the internals & tools required.

<a href="http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BXcitroen-L/files/Flow_Distributor/" target="_blank">http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BXcitroen-L/files/Flow_Distributor/</a>

Hope this is some help.

Hi Shane L,
I bought a second hand flow divider from David ,but unfortuneately it leaked also. I should of bought a repair kit which I have since found out aboutat $90 from Citroen, so if any body has this problem that is the way to go.
SeeYa.
