WANTED: Springs for a GTI-6

I'm looking for some original front springs for a 306 GTi6. Are there any differences between original and after market (set to the same settings)?
If anyone is looking at departing with some, let me know...

Lincoln what are the springs in yours again?

Are they aftermarket?

I may be keen to swap you...

I don't know!

They're set 20mm lower than standard. Do we think we'll be having a Sydney Froggy gathering soon? You could have a drive of my car then, if you like then we can go from there...

They were initially set at a much lower rate, probably around the 60mm level, waaaay too low for my liking. We reheated them and reset them at 20mm lower. Believe it or not, but doing that costs the same as getting new springs made! My mechanic said the springs were of a high quality, so he thought it would be better to use the existing high quality springs, versus getting the standard material springs...whatever, either way, I prefer to have the car at stock settings

Aah, nah I was really considering some Eibachs and it would've been a tempting way to do it.

Anycase, you're welcome to have a drive of mine one of these days to suss out how the standard suspension feels.

You'll also get an idea of how rattly a 5 year old Peugeot gets.

no problem, sounds like the next Sydney Froggy outing will have much car swapping!

Lincoln,
sounds like your prayers are being answered

NTRX's comments look rather amusing in the light of our last meeting.
