Parry,
Ditto on what Chris said. But I dont have my licence yet... working on it next week.... I have class 1 vehicle (ie unodified), no race seat or harness (it comes later). Chris, 930 - 10am sounds good. I will be having brekky at goulburn at the same place we went to last time. More meeting details as the day gets closer.

With about $300,000 to spend on your S16 you could probaly set some blistering times as well.
motorsport = multi multi dollar/sec/lap and with Jim there isnt much substitude for experience wink Its very likely I will have the suspension and semi slicks for the 19th. Im buzzing already.

anything for another Froggy. The cheque is in the mail. wink
I have a long way to go before I get anywhere near the pug times. Im giving away 700cc in engine capacity. I tried getting onboard the 28th but alas all the slots were filled and sprint oversubscribed.

Update:
My Swift got rubber stamped by the RTA as roadworthy (just as well as I have been driving it legally for a month and money collected by the RTA for the stamped document )So the 19th is going ahead. The suspension is still going to be stnd. but a new set of tyres will hopefully help the woeful grip levels from last time. As before I will be doing the drive through the Pheasants Nest Mobil at or around, 8am going to Shell before Goulburn where I will be filling up. From there straight to the brekky place in Goulburn (XQ do you know the name of the place?) and then to the track. I will be contactable on mobile whereever the Optus reception permits. 0411 349 146. cheers Voytek

Darren,
Not yet. DBA's (or other slotted rotors) with OEM pads seem to be preffered option for some overseas Swift racers. My fading pedal (I think) was more due to brake fluid being boiled. The pedal still hasnt come back to where it was before the last visit to Wakefield. I am getting it changed tomorrow. The wear on the rotors and pads was quite minimal and no heat spots as far as I could tell after taking pads out and checking the rotors and pads. And I had no problems with locking up the wheels at whim wink . Why dont you grab the SP20 for a spin? bte. on unrelated matter. How much gain would you expect from the TB's fitted over the old plenum setup in your 205? 30% midrange?

Voytek.
I'd love to come down but I'm moving next weekend so can't afford to go right at this moment. As for the tb's I would say they would make a noticeable difference, especially with the cam I have and the nitrous. The standard plenum just wouldn't flow enough for what is required. Darren |

Good times there Voytek.
And Chris that's a superhot time in an unfamiliar car. It will be interesting to see what times Parry, PeterT, Adrian and Owen do at the Supersprint coming up..... |

Yeah good day Tekkie and myself had,.
It was a really crowded day with many cars , at one point i counted 12 cars on track and thats just the street cars. over 20 race cars.It was good fun though to out lap R33 GTR, R32 GTR, Ferrari 308, and a host of other machines including WRX'x and heaps of so called V8 monters...... including a Maloo Ute. A Porsche 928S (with 220Kw V8) looked at me quite shocked as i took him on the main straight...lol head_ban . Thats the beauty of Wakefield, the short straights and plenty of tuff turns make for a real equaliser when you don't have big Hp. Tekkies Swift is a real manic package, it wheel spins round most turns on its way to 1:19's. lots of fun. I never got into the 17's, just very hard to get a solid lap without someone getting in the way. But consistent 1:18's will do, so that little susp change i made did the trick. I can't wait for our next big meet, hopefully with Tekkie(and a better swift), Darrens MYT-205, Parry and his new found love/experience, perhaps Lincon will have a car then (that we can all mow down!!lol), AshleyT and his little machine!!... should be lots of fun. cheers Xq head_ban ps, !!!!AWARDS LIST!!!!::::::::: *Best new toy- Tekkies ADVAN tyres! *Best lap by a frog- 1:18.13(Xq, mind you only frog) *Best Off- Ferrari on turn 2, with a GTR and my Pug about to T-bone him!!! just mist, come on man its a Ferrari! *Best lap by any car- 1:07's by the EVO race car or the Aussie Legend doing 1:09's. *Best mod of the day- Tekkies intake. *Slowest car - Nissan SSS with a rookie chick having a good go! and spin. *Worst driver- the F3000 driver who couldn't find gears and best lap was a 1:14! *Best quote- "Yeah no brake fluid left"..." and the rear brakes are gone throught to the metal!",by the worked R32 owner, witch spent most of its time on opposite lock!!

Yeah it was a great day, Wish I did more laps though cry
I think I should stay away from Wakefield on fridays and thursdays though due to practice of some teams before weekend events. Ashley, biggest potential in Swift times is sitting in front of this keyboard wink . Car has a long way to go without opening the motor for internal work. Putting the power down is hard enough as it is. Doing cheap mods is the fun part. When are you going to join us? Pick a day next month and we can organise a trip. I have bucketloads of work leave I was told to clear before December. Parry and Peter? Same goes for you guys. Pick a date and lets make a communal trip. cheers Voytek

I can't go on weekdays which aren't in school holidays. Looking forward to next Friday/Sat. though. Practice all day Friday, then fuel up with avgas and fit new tyres for racing on Saturday. Wuillemins will be doing 1:12's , but I'll be happy to crack 1:18.

You're in, #43 N1a, Blue group. Your mate in the MX5 is in Yellow, along with me. Wullemins are in Green. Looks like much the same crowd as last time.
