Default Loooking for a white Fuego

I am looking for a white Fuego. Must be rust free and mechanically sound. Willing to consider any offers to sell depending on the condition of the car. Genuinely keen to finalise asap. Any info will be appreciated

Hi Sanath.
I'll keep my eyes peeled around these ways.

I'd have sold you mine a year ago before I poured my heart and soul and all my good parts into it, but its too proffi-ised now to consider selling without having a solid proven car as a replacement.

Good luck, and let us know when you find one, so i can take it off my radar.
Jo

Default white Fuego

G'day Kiwia 110,
I was talking to the owner of this car earlier today. He tells me that although the odometer incorrectelt reads 170km's , apparantly it had done less than 100,000 kms. Can you shed any light on this aspect for us please? It had not been used for sometime and had been parked in the garage . He mentioned the car being owned by a Renault entusiast prior to the last owner he bought it off from about 2 yr ago. I gathered it 's you.Any further info will be greeatly appreciated

Also your view of the condition of the motor and the gear box and the driving performance mechanically, at the time you owned, will be appreciated

Would you have any photos of the car both of exterior and interior that you might be able to put on plus some specs(mileage..etc)

It is a 1984 model with 231000km on the clock
It is in fairly good original condition.
Photo shows a fairly tatty steering wheel as it had a smaller Momo wheel and with no power steering it was a bit of a handful, otherwise interior is tidy.
One of the previous owners was a Renault Mechanic and used it as a daily driver and he changed the timing belt and pulley. I have spent some time sorting out a few thing, like the radiator and fans which weren't coming on and generally making it servicable.

On closer inspection it has some rust around the front screen rubber in a few places.
Cheers

This was driving exceptionally well. All was very sound.
The story with the mileage is correct. When the "old boy" had the car the odo was reading incorrectly (way over) so he kept records of every trip he did. To the garage for warrant of fitness, day out etc and these were with the car. He had another car for every day use. Also with the car was every receipt ever, including petrol!
I sold it to a French girl who was in the arae working for a large company. She was going to take it back to France but shipping wound up too expensive. The guy who now has ownership bought it off her. Paid a bit less than asking.
The BBS wheels were fitted when the metric tyres wore down by Renault NZ. From memory there are 5 of them. It is not far from me so I could have a look for you if you wanted.
