What does one need to check sphere pressures, or should I get the Chevronics Guys to check them next time he's in there?
    Thanks for the tip. :headbang:

There are still a few diesels getting around.
It's a bit like riding a 125cc motorbike: corner speed is EVERYTHING!

    "Chuggington's" new shoes.

While I've been in England this year, I've treated myself to a lovely BX 1.9 TGD. His name is "Chuggington". (Those with small children will get the connection!)
    This is the naturally-aspirated...

I've been in the UK this year enjoying the pleasures of a BX diesel.

I'm not sure of the Russian connection, but I remember a crash repairer telling me years ago that most French cars used steel with a higher sulphur content because it was "kinder" to the press dies,...

    Berlingo owners Rejoice!

I'm not sure if a "Clarkson Endorsement" is the Kiss Of Death to any self-respecting car, but it gets a mention in this interesting article from Honest John in the UK.
I'm in the UK at the moment,...

    Hi Guys,
    Cam85 said they'd look great on a 205.
Would they fit on an SI? I currently have 14" Pepperpots which seem to fit fine, but these would be a bit wider.
    I guess I would use 205/45 tyres....

Thanks guys! If someone has one, that would be great.
It might be able to be re-rolled, but would prefer a relatively undamaged one.....

I've put an ad in Parts Wanted and FS for a 14" Speedline Pepperpot rim to suit a 205 in case anyone has a spare one gathering dust.......
    Thanks, Chris.

  15. 205 SI Acting strangely on light throttle at 100km/hr.

The Red Rocket is acting up.....
At light throttle openings at about 100-110km/hr, it feels as though the overrun fuel cut is cutting off the fuel while the throttle is still (slightly) open.

Has anyone SERIOUSLY considered using a Diester Synthetic oil as an LHM replacement?
It would seem that most of the problems with LHM are as a result of oxidation, and lack of shear stability.
